A Hypersurveilled Comic (2023)
I was tasked with creating a comic based on the song, ‘Greener Pastures’, by hip pop artist Heno. The comic focuses on the song and album theme of being watched by a higher governing power, with the addition of a sci-fi concept.
In a one-in-a-million chance, a man is suddenly transported into the realm of surveillance where he’s exposed to beings of silver, heads made of cameras, and of warnings of how his life will never be the same. Why? Because they are always watching, and when you think they aren’t, think again.
Mock Comic BOOK Covers (2023)
Apotheosis & mind The Company you keep
I transformed two of my illustrations into comic book covers. To do so, I focused on the initial concept behind each one. For 'Apotheosis', the concept derives from genres of Sci-fi/Fantasy, a hero vs. villain arc, and due to the combination of various foes against a single swordsman, I created a type that emphasizes the visual narrative. The second cover, 'mind The Company you keep', is based on a Thriller-esque concept about a unique, yet mysterious group of young assassins. The visual narrative is evident through a pixelated type and dynamic placing of the characters and background.
Eyes of the Sun (2021 - present)
The life of an apathetic, bride-to-be takes a turn when, on the eve of her wedding day, she’s introduced to the world of the undead.
GLOW (2022)
Three underdog skaters find a secret portal into a different dimension, a new world, where things hidden in the dark come to light.
Objective: To create photo-illustration ads for the skateboard company, Element Skateboard Industries. For the ad design, I decided to go for a comic-based concept to best showcase the impact of skateboarding and Element Skateboard through the perspective of teen and young adult skaters.
Single Panel Comics (2021)
Objective: was to create a series of single-paneled comics, all revolving around a topic of interest. I chose Astrology and had the perspective of intense interest displayed through each panel, through a main protagonist.
The idea for the panels was to showcase satire and relatable knowledge about astrology.
Starlight (2019-2020)
A Sci-fi comic about a runaway who boards the black-market trading ship, Calisto, on the path to find her parents, her identity, and unravel a power she never knew she had.
